The AmpliFi Alien AX router features true gigabit wireless speeds with a slick LCD touchscreen that provides a wealth of real time info. Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 technology with 2.4 GHz and 5GHz 802.11ax radios makes for versatile and optimized compatibility for your devices older or new.
The modular mesh router is available as an individual or you can add unlimited Alien routers to expand your mesh network. There are only 4 Ethernet ports and no USB port but that might not matter to you if the majority of your devices are connected via Wi-Fi and you’re not worried about sharing files from a USB stick or external storage drive.
What’s neat is the separate Wi-Fi 5 802.11ac radio that you use to segregate your traffic from your WiFi 6 traffic and dedicate it to a particular device/s so they don’t fight over bandwidth.
The 4.7″ full color touchscreen displays 274×1268 at 279 ppi and features touch sensitive controls with haptic feedback.
