LG G5 Innovative Modular Design
Curved screens aren’t impressing you enough? The LG G5 features an innovative modular design that makes your smartphone more functional than ever!
The new modular design allows you to remove the lower portion of the phone to inject whatever new accessories LG can brainstorm up. Unfortunately the modular design doesn’t reach the CPU, flash-drive or RAM. LG has embraced the removable battery and is even offering a free battery with cradle for a limited time, while Samsung has opted to go with a non-removable battery in the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge phones.
LG has launched the Cam Plus to work in tandem with the G5. The Cam Plus is equipped with a shutter button, video record button, zoom wheel and provides a little extra battery life. The Cam Plus provides a larger battery and Camera grip for comfort with less worry that your shiny new phone will slip out of your hands. To enhance the audio Hi-Fi Plus features a 24-bit DAC co-designed by Bang & Olufsen.
Aesthetically the device is all metal and smooth with no visible seams and no exposed cellular antenna band in view to create attenuation issues. It’s polished and smooth to the touch without screaming look at me. Softly rounded corners and beveled glass make the LG G5 a very pleasing device to hold. Thankfully the volume rocker button has been moved to the side again.
