At IFA 2017 LG unveiled its long awaited V30/V30+ flagship smartphone. The V30 aims to be the center of your multimedia experience with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Quad HD+ resolution with a 7500k color temperature for the deepest blacks, beautiful depth and colors for rich photos and immersive video.

The improved cameras and glass lenses promise deeper richer color and increased clarity and detail and builds on the LG V20’s focus as a multimedia device. Cinematic filter effects natively let you transform your videos, HDR10 your photos while advanced 32-bit HiFi Quad DAC enhances your audio experience.
The V30 also brings with it some physical refinement conforming a bit more to what’s trending and modernizing the overall aesthetics of the device. LG’s design certainly resembles the iPhone, Galaxy S8/Note 8, HTC’s U11 but has placed a focus on how the device feels in hand before what it looks like visually according to LG.
Some Key Specs
The V30 comes equipped with a 6 inch OLED display and Quad HD+ resolution at 2880 x 1440 resolution at 538 ppi. Driving the V30 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. LG seems to have followed Apple’s original pricing tier with pricing differences for flash memory / storage space alone. The V30 and V30+ come in 64/128GB flavors respectively with a Micro SD slot for additional storage space up to 2TB.
Dual rear cameras at 16 MP standard angle lens f/1.6 and 13MP for wide angle lens f/1.9 with a front firing 5MP wide angle f/2.2 aperture.
The V30 / V30+ now come with an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance as well as the MIL-STD 810G drop certification that the V20 also had.
The V30 and V30+ will ship with Android Nougat 7.1.2 and LG’s UX 6.0+ User Interface and will be available in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet.
When will it be released?
LG’s new V30 flagship smartphone has been completely redesigned from the rugged design of the V20. Along with a redesign are improvements in the guts. The V20 was a fabulous multimedia phone, video, audio, photos, movies… The V30 aims to do better and builds on the experience with the updated hardware, dual rear cameras and a redesigned look.
