Check out the Titan Pro 36 can welded cooler from Arctic Zone. The 36 Can High Performance Welded Cooler is a nice companion for travel and leisure. It’s a great balance of carry space vs weight. Not too heavy but not too small to be useful.
There are some incredible coolers out there but what if you’re not interested in carrying a full-sized cooler. This medium-size welded cooler is Leakproof with no zippers to break. Great for shorter multi-day trips. Comes in Mossy Oak Bottomland Camo Print or Granite Gray for more of a tactical look. Let’s take a closer look.
What’s a Welded Cooler?
Not sure what a welded cooler is? The exterior is a multi-layer insulated sheathing that is both waterproof and puncture resistant. It is reinforced with welded seams, no gaps or seam to separate, so it is waterproof. The interior is a hard body container that you can remove from the insulated exterior for easy cleaning.
The hard body molded interior, shelf and lid are treated with Microban protection to help deter bacterial odors and stains. If you need a soft cooler that compacts flat when empty then this is not for you. But if you’re looking for something medium sized that performs and can hold a good amount of supplies, you’re all about the Titan Pro 36.
Arctic Zone has provided us with the Titan Pro 36 Can Welded cooler so that we could provide hands on review coverage of the unit and our personal experiences with it to our readers. Our reviews are for educational and informational purposes only.
Specs
Total weight empty is 13.01 lbs, the exterior measures 17″ x 12″ x 15.5″.
The total purse (interior size) measures 36 standard size soda cans or 13.25” x 8.06″ x 12.5”.
It sits on an EVA molded base for a softer landing when placing it down. Air Lock latch with rubber gasket seals the container when it’s closed and ensures that the cooler is leakproof when tipped over.
If you’re using this for fishing or recreational boating there are useful Tie down slots on each of the corners so you can secure the cooler to the deck. There’s also an attached bottle opener.
Dry bag compartments
On the front is your main dry bag cargo compartment with durable mesh side pockets on the left and right. The cargo compartment folds and Velcro’s shut to ensure that the contents remain dry. The space isn’t huge, pretty tight even but you can slide your phone, wallet in with a few other smaller items without issue.
Compression Strap
You can use the Strap normally and toss it over your shoulder. You can also use it as a compression strap to carry more gear on top and cinch it down. There is no top handle on the lid, instead the top handle resides on the strap that you need to cinch down before you can lift the cooler with 1 hand. Otherwise you’ll need to use the two side handles.
Easy to Clean
Being able to clean your gear after use is quite important as it is a process you will repeat time and time again. The Titan Pro 36 makes it easy to separate so you can wash the interior with soap and water, rinse and dry.
Ice Retention

Your mileage will vary depending on the contents inside and the ambient temperature outside, but we’ve run some simple tests with Titan Pro welded cooler to provide you with a general base from which to determine how well it might work for you.
You may choose to fill the cooler with 100% ice, perhaps you want to keep ice cubes for drinks, or maybe you’re headed on a fishing trip. Titan Pro welded cooler claims 3.5 days of ice retention if filled to the brim with just cubed ice. Our test was more along the lines of a short multi-day family trip or camping trip.
Our test used 6x standard soda cans, 5x 12oz thin cans, 3x water bottles, 1x 8lb bag of cubed ice from the supermarket; 1.75 days of ice retention with a variance of +/- 2%, this seems to be a reasonable expectation.
According to the instructions it is suggested to pre-chill the cooler. The outside temperature is quite cold near freezing here in December but to be fair we placed the cooler in the basement which had an ambient temperature of about 66 degrees overnight.
We layered the bottom of the Titan Pro with seltzer cans and water bottles straight out of the fridge. Then we added a single 8lb bag of ice, this allows the cooler to be filled while still allowing the top tray to seat flat.
We didn’t quite get 2 days out of it, but it was about 1.5 days for the ice, at the end of the second day it was all water but the water was cold.
Sealed & Leakproof
You can feel and hear the air pressure when opening and closing the Titan Pro. In our tests we filled up the Titan Pro 36 with 1/3 water and the cooler is indeed leakproof; you can tip it over or even flip it upside down and it will not leak.
This will help you in the event the cooler tips over however, if you tip the cooler and it has any impact it CAN leak. It might leak slowly or quickly depending on how much impact is sustained. Remember it’s 8.34 lbs per gallon of water or 3.785 kg.
Pros
Leakproof hard-molded interior
Welded Waterproof soft insulative exterior
Microban protection against bacteria
Easy to Clean
Dry compartment
Cons
Expensive
Not 100% Leakproof
No top handle, need strap
Interior hard container and insulated exterior can be difficult to marry together 100%.
There are quite a few similar coolers, even other Titan Pro models out on the market with a variety of pricing. Many of them seem to utilize what looks to be the same interior hard leakproof container; the exterior insulated nylon sheathing is what seems to separate the products. It would seem that they are all using the same supplier. Just the logo stamped inside differs and some of the latches. The graphics on the instructions appear to be from the same vendor as well, just shuffled around, image cropped closer, columns reversed a bit to appear different.
Does the Insulated Nylon exterior justify the huge swing in pricing? Maybe. While we cannot account for all of the products on the market we can only speak on what we have used. The Titan Pro 36 can welded cooler seems to be a solid performer and it looks dang cool too. Ice retention was about as expected but we were pleased with the overall functionality and convenience.
Only time will tell if this cooler will last in the real world but we will report back with any updates over time so come back to check.
That’s a Wrap
The Titan Pro Welded Cooler has clearly had some thought and quality baked into it. Waterproof, leakproof, decent ice retention, water tight seal, dry cargo compartments, handles and straps; this thing is a pleasure to use and an asset to any camping trip, family outing, multi-day or fishing trip. Recommend for its convenience and carry capacity.
