What’s in the box?
The MagicMount Charge Elite 3-in-1 features Qi2 wireless fast charge, MagSafe 15W and Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) optimizes charge delivery. A ball joint with reversible Swing Arm design (Swing-Arm removal tool included). A heavy duty adhesive mount and locking vent mount. Dual port 40W (2 x 20W) USB-C Car Charger.
The dual-port USB-C does not have any USB-A port. This may not be an issue if you’ve already embraced future proofing. But this is a transition period for iPhone users with the new USB-C standard and older devices that still utilize USB-A on the charger side.

What this does not come with is a USB-A port. If you need to utilize a USB-A you’ll need a different car adapter as this only supports wireless and USB-C ports.
Mount Installation
You have 3 choices for mounting positions:
- Use the locking vent mount to lock it to your car vent. This is the easiest and quickest method. This clamping vent mount is fantastic to use! Check out our video on the Scosche MagicMount Elite 3-in-1 at the end of the article.
(Smartphones are quite heavy now, especially to be hinging off of your vehicles vent. So potentially the vent mount clamp will need to be repositioned and/or re-tightened periodically.) - Use the heavy duty adhesive and stick the ball joint to your dashboard.
- Use the heavy duty adhesive and reverse the position and stick it to the back of your car’s LCD display. This way it anchors off the LCD display but is off to the left or right using the slide rail. (use the included swing arm removal tool)
This is very specific to your setup but it may end up obscuring portion of your dashboard interface or LCD screen / backup camera / built in GPS depending on where you choose to mount it.

Magnetic Mount is MagSafe Compatible
You know, that magnetic ring (circular on MagSafe, Hex shape for Android) not only allows for convenience to attach a device, it also ensures that you have proper alignment of the wireless coils to give you the best charge speed possible.
Think about your wireless charge pad, how many times have you placed your phone on it thinking it was charging when it wasn’t?
We have tested both iPhone & Android devices with magnetic case backs and both operate conveniently. The Android hex magnetic shape requires a teeny bit more attention when placing it on the mount but both feel adequately supported once you do. The magnetic connection seems slightly stronger on the iPhone due to the matching
Qi2 Wireless Charging
Qi2 is a wireless charging standard that Apple had a hand in developing which delivers up to 15W of wireless charge speed. It also comes with a 40W dual-port USB-C; You’ll need 1x 20W port for your MagicMount Elite and the other is open for fast-charging if you need for your phone or additional device.
Unfortunately the Galaxy s23 and 24 won’t charge as fast as the S22 oddly, (through no fault of the MagicMount Elite 3-in-1) reports show that this is significantly slower, nearly 40 min slower to a full charge. But the Scosche MagicMount Elite delivers power as fast as the device allows.
Recommended Quality of Life (QOL) Upgrade
We all have to deal with the phone in the car, but you need to operate legally and that means hands-free when you’re rolling. Considering most everyone uses their smartphone for a GPS device, having a solid mount and charge system is imperative. Fumbling with your phone in the car can resemble a juggling act if you aren’t already using a mount of some sort, it’s dangerous.
